Not Counting Today
I said this coming week will be better. The week is supposed to start on Sunday, right? I’m going to say it will start on Monday…the start of the work week, because come hell or high water this week will be better than last week, and today has not been the greatest of days.
One of the things that has not been great is I have been getting the Blue Screen of Death for the past week:
I will be trying to figure out what’s wrong tomorrow. I think one of my cooling fans is going out. Not sure which one, though. I hope it’s not the one on the power supply, or the one on the processing chip, and I hope my hard drive isn’t getting ready to crash…if that’s the case I may be out of commission for a little while.
I’ll be back when I’m operational again…

i wish i could help, but i don’t know computers.
I’m so sorry about your blue screen. I had white screen last week. I guess we need to find someone who had a red screen and we can be patriotic.
Been there with the blue screen of death…it only cost me $150 in telephone tech support to get back up and running. I hope it is easier on you.
Sending the internet prayer of computer health and healing. Hope it works itself out for you.
Yikes! Thank goodness my hubby builds our computers. If not, I would freak out at that screen! Good luck! All my toes and fingers are crossed for you!
Do you need a tech type person to come visit? Huh? Huh? Huh? LOL Hope you can get it figured out hon.
Hugs’n'Smooches!
:ssboohoo: My computer overheated a couple of years ago. Took out the motherboard and the hard drive in one fell swoop.:sswhimper:And please don’t ask me if I had all my files backed up.:ssmad:I lost everything. Believe me when I say that I’m praying that your week goes better.
I hope things are up and running soon! I also truly hope that you have an AMAZING week! :ssgoofywink:
Here’s to you being operational soon…
Sorry about your computer problems…I do know if the fan is going out on your power supply, then it would be making a load noise all the time and your computer would shut it self off for no reason all the time…I hate that blue screen of death…when I get that alot I just reinstall the operating system…
A majority of time that BSoD in particular is referencing Memory in your PC that’s starting to fail. It could also be a bad driver but unless you’ve added or updated something recently, I wouldn’t suspect that.
If you’re comfortable with computer surgery, crack the case and see how many memory sticks you have. If more than one, yank all but one and see if that stick in particular crashes the unit. Swap and replace each one until you find the bad one and then hope over to get a new one. Or if its covered under a warranty, have a tech do it for you.
Solution: Get a Mac! Seriously…PCs…so much trouble…
Aww that totally sux. I hope you get that resolved soon.
BTW the sake was totally good. Having it under the Sakura blossoms is the best.
Man my new Dell did that blue screen last night too!!!
:ssboohoo::ssboohoo::ssboohoo:
miss you! It must be fixed by tomorrow night!!!
…I mean, I wish you all the best
how odd. my fan is going out, too. — i haven’t seen the BSoD for YEARS.
I hate the blue screen of death. Hope you’re back up again soon.
@AliasUndercover - I’ll be able to post on A_I_S_7 tonight. Have no fear, faithful shipmate!
I’ll bet you can hear my sigh of relief across the Red & Mississippi (but not the Mason Dixon
)
That sucks! I hope everything is okay. I know you can probably fix anything that’s wrong…but I wish you luck anyway.
You see, you need to charter a plane to come pick me up. I’ll bring the parts to fix it right as rain, plus I’ll bring some girly movies, some cookies, and popcorn and we’ll make a day of it. Naturally we’d have to blog the oblitigory pictures of us goofing around for everyone else.
That is shitty!
Did you see McD’s has AI toys? Cute little dolls!
I usually can google whatever the error code is on a spare or library computer and print out the correct response. Usually though, they involve either a sledgehammer or asking for a system administrator. Which of course we all have at least two system administrators stored in a basement or closet don’t we?
Howdy there. I found you by way of copying antisoccermom’s theme… and then I realized that I used your charlie brown xmas theme! Thx so much for your theme contributions! I love this one as well!
Just wandering by, dropping a blessing as i pass, hoping and praying that if you should find it, and pick it up, that it might double in your hands, triple in your heart and continue to multiply with your faith.
Next week will be better. I’ve been getting the dreaded BSOD a lot lately too. You could use it to make a nerdy sorta geeky theme I suppose.
I hope the fact that you just updated this means you are operational.
I hope you are well Lisa,I am using your Bluebell Layout and I LOVE IT!!
I thought you had a new post up.
Hope you get opporational soon.
we’ll be waiting
It’s been a while, hope the cure wasn’t too expensive!
I miss you…come back soon please!
Missing you Lisa!
Gone missing again? Hope it’s not computer problems. I can’t talk because I haven’t been much better about posting. Just popping in to check on you.
Hugs, Tricia
